Recommended Posts

Up to the elbows? Nah... up to the armpit is more like it!!! I even have ankle kandi hahaha the more color, the better :) I love bright colors, especially now that I work in a dark and blandly colored parts room all day and never get to see the light of day unless i'm driving a piece o shit parts truck around.... kandi brightens my day and my world!!!

Kandi = Memories. Even when the people that gave you the pieces are gone for one reason or another, you take them with you. It helps build a rapport, create more memories, get and give ideas on how to make new kandi.

Reason why I wear it.

I haven't made any of my own I was given all the ones I have.

<3<3<3 kandi! granted, during school I barely ever get to wear it as I ditch all my bracelets/rings to practice and that gets to be a pain in the ass trying to take it off, put it back on especially when I just want to take a quick break or something (can't leave anything in the practice rooms unattended for any length of time). So when I get the chance to deck out for a rave, I go all the way... chokers, necklaces, plushies, kandi to my elbows and beyond, kandi hairpieces I've made, even the pants I've sewn kandi into... (the never ending project right there).

I've got some respect for people who can handle wearing that much on a relatively frequent basis. My favourite part is at the end of the night, pulling off all the kandi and the crazy rush of getting real feeling back in your arms... yum.

Generally these days, I wear one or two throughout the week, and if I'm in the proper setting to wear that much, I go all the way. ^.^

Personally I despise the stupid kandi, everything about it just bothers me. Now granted I do have some, but there just normal bracelets and they've been in a box since I've got them.

I just think there ugly, tacky, and I don't understand how they are involved within the "rave" culture, having people running around with stupid toys and what not held together by fisher price beads really just makes me feel like the whole rave scene is going even further down hill.

THIS IS ALL JUST MY OPINION THOUGH, SO DON'T BLOW IT OUT OF PROPORTION!!!

Thanks.

I wear kandi well up past my elbows. I love it :)

Each piece is made by me, a friend, or a stranger I met on a dance floor..

Each piece is important, even the ones i make to trade or give away.

Each one is made with a creative idea or thought, love for the art, an experiment of something new.... how is that not beautiful?

I like when people ask about a piece or just smile at how much kandi I have, I love giving strangers kandi and seeing the look on their face when they're like o wow thank you so much. I always like wondering if they remeber getting it from me, in some cases I know its the first time they've gotten kandi from someone. I also love trading kandi and getting something someone took time to create, and getting new ideas from it to use myself.

Personally my kandi doesn't hinder me in stringing, freehand or just dancing.

I wouldn't want my kandi any other way :)

kandi is just a way of expressing oneself. At least thats why I love making them :) Ive seen so many different kinds like on the threads that we have here. Its like glowstringing and freehand. Why do people do it? I see it as a way to get away you know? Lol

I wear a couple to events, and even casually when I go out.

But, at events, I also take them off at one point because it itches/gets too hot and makes it harder to stick and string :X

KANDI IS AMAZINGGG! i normally do go to events with them up to my elbows... but leave with few or none LOL. I LOVE sharing the culture with new people, and since this huge explosion of newbies into the EDM world, there are ALOT of them at each event.
