To go from Sin City(a masterpiece) to that is just sinful! It had a few funny lines, but other than that it was just a waste of $9! Don't go see this movie if you havn't already! mojo191 0 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Share Posted January 2, 2009 oh yea, i was very sorely dissaponted, it had a lot of potential, but it was weird, as soon as i bought the ticket, i suddenly had a feeling of dread and thought, for some reason this is going to be a shitty movie, and it was, Saumuel L Jackson has done so many good movies i was like WTF!? they needed to decide what the hell they were going to do with the movie, comedy, action, suspense? wtf are they aiming for? i was really hoping for him to drink the blood and have an epic battle, but nope, of corse not >.< so even the ending was bad! the onl good part was the part with the foot guy, i was laughing throught the whole scene oh, and i have a cat named muffin Link to post Share on other sites
prix 1 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Share Posted January 2, 2009 i thought it was okay. but it was way too much of replica of the comic book. in fact, many of the exact lines were taken from it. i felt that kind of detracted from the movie because it didn't show other opinions and emotions, and all of the characters seemed very 2-dimensional (pun not intended). most of the movie was spend by characters talking to themselves, and after a while it just became distracting. The plot line was good, but way to confusing for a someone just getting introduced to it. when i was watching it with my friend, within the first several minutes he turned and asked me "what the hell is going on." it seemed way to much like Sin City. there was little variation, and many of the same techniques were used. and then miller is going to come back and direct a Sin City 2. it better not suck.... the foot was the best. i could watch that thing jump around for ages. peruvian_martian 1 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Share Posted January 2, 2009 I dunno, I already knew that this movie was going to be bad (thank you rottentomatoes.com) and went to see it with the intention of watching a bad movie. IMO, this was one of those "It's so bad, it's good" movies. I mean, if you know it's going to be shitty already, then I recommend watching it just for the bad dialogue, horrible story flow, and cardboard characters.
