Valeranth 0
Just go slow, and do it alot is the best advice I can give you..
FunkePLUR 0
well, the basic idea is that the helicopter is a figure 8 bent in half so a fig 8 to helicopter transition might help or vice versa and keep practicing dont know what else to say well, good luck hope it helps but its hard to explain in text. SecretsofManna 0
Go slow and check out some tutorials on the hellicopter. I strongly recommend Raver Girl's Freehanding Basics Tutorial on youtube. 1:15 in is about where she starts talking about the helicopter. I really like the way she shows you because she gets up close with her hands and shows you how they are best positioned. Ultimately: you can use the help of others as tools to get you started and guide you, but remember they are tools to help you. To get better at the helicopter, or any move for that matter, you have to slow it down and figure out how it works. Honestly, the figure 8 took me SOO long to learn. But the right person was able to teach me a method to learn it, and though it was rough at first, I practiced almost constantly and within several days it was a polished, smooth flowing figure 8. Soon, that will be your hellicopter. Good Luck :

DDRKirby(ISQ) 1
===make sure you understand the finger motions.=== also, experiment with finger motion, wrist motion, plus arm motion. yea...

Andrei 0
Yeah the best advise you can get is just take it easy and practice. It's the same concept as a Figure 8 but in the air. You need to catch the momentum and really curve your wrists when doing it. Just practice like crazy and you'll get it eventually.

RaverBebe 0
I just watched Raver Girl's tutorial over and over and kept trying it. The hardest thing for me, was getting my left hand to keep up w/ my right hand (I'm right handed). I still don't think that I have it perfected, but I have the basic concept down. Just keep practicing and you'll get the muscle movement down.
decemberscalm 0
RG's Helicopter tutorial just taught me how to get it down within 2 minutes. Wow.
Glowpole 0
how i learned is pretend there is a string connecting the 2 sticks as that helps keep them aligned
iGlowstick 0
once you do something slow repetitively, you will have much more speed in the end.

natalie 0
ooh the helicopter is a move i remember romances teaching me... it helped me remembering to start with your inner wrists in lock and then rolling the wrists as in opposition with the other along with the glowsticks.
