Superman shannanigins, something i picked up today, i mind you I've been playing with dead glowz in flowtoy cases all day, (tryna level up fancy) so these shitty ledz made me sloppopotamous style.. Its just a superman but instead of a weaving stick it just stalls in pendulum manner, if you will, i call them "ghosts'", idunno..sounds tyght! Lol but im sure you could elevate it to something wicked

Ghosts'

Umm, just an old cheap mindgame, sorry it's sooo dam long ,don't know what i was thinking...

@:40 had me confused for waaaayy too long. Especially since it's something I've done before.

Then when I saw Syphon's part from the Haunted collab, the shit clicked.

super glad to see this didn't get lost during the spam-bot invasion xD

Xetmath are you gonna have that man's man of a beard in your next submission?

bukklee i may need you to mail me some of those magnets we talked about =P

I found some online if it's not possible; I just don't wanna pay $20+ for six magnets x(

I've got a laundry list of stuff to film, but I'll try to have something up by this weekend

(also, bukklee, if you're updating the list again, there is another submission at the bottom of page 28)

I'm gonna do all the updates when I get home from work.

I'm not able to create the links for this, in the same way that it was before.

I usually just go back to the previous post with all the links copy/paste and then I would add the next one with the "Link" button.  You use to be able to name the hyperlink.

Now it doesn't work like that...OR I'm just brain-dead at 4am.    Until I figure it out I'll always keep the last 2 videos in the updated post.  ENJOY!!!

Sorry for the delay
I have alot of goodies in this one,
be sure to watch it all the way through to the end!!

=========================
    =12-05-12 stringing tech blog=
-korean yoyo weave? toss? tossed weave?
(originally a rodeo trick)

-korean yoyo catch manip. exploration & wrap variations
(lot of stuff going on in here, but just scratching the surface of possibilities)

-inside stall < orbital < outside stall
(tweaked variation on the 'inside stall < orbital < inside stall')

-phaser exploration
(focusing on legs, but still alot left unexplored)

-OTS stall exploration
(continuing turns while your feet stay planted)

-OTS BF stall exploration
(this can definitely be explored more)

-butterfly stall < BTB BF stall < butterfly stall
(saw this recently, and I immediately adopted it)

-neck stall vs. crossover wrap combo variations
(there are tons of opportunities for exploration with this)

-elbow pin < handle toss
(sadly this is not the original one i had figured out, i waited too long to film and forgot
what the original looked like, so this is my broken re-learned variation on the idea;
but have seen multiple variations with contact poi like this, I would like to see it explored by stringers too)

-yoyo inspired wrap combo

(you've seen me do it alot but I'm starting to finalize the combo)

-catch manip. < guiding hand-isolations?
(Iono what to call this xP  it's super simple, but gives a great visual effect)

-catch manip. < toss-back wraps?
(your hands throw the sticks against your limb/arm/leg before pulling away from a catch like normal)

-slight of hand manip.  aka  "sparrow claw"
(a tweaked expansion on 'eagle claw')

Finals are almost over for everyone, or if they aren't they're creeping up on you
(or you could already be done with them, or not in school, but whatever!! =P)
so to help everyone fight the winter blues,
I've cooked up another submission for the Stringing Tech Blog for this week!!

CLICK ME TO DOWNLOAD!!!

*btw it's title is incorrect, I wanted to post this tomorrow, but i simply couldn't wait xP*

starting to push the 'sparrow claw' concept further
it's still in a fledgling stage for me tho, soooo many possibilities

but this also includes some Poi goodness
(some/most of it are old concepts that I've put off learning)

anyways, hope everyone is making it through this week and is getting excited for the holiday break!!
**btw has anyone heard from Icy from up in NYC?**

I don't know what to do about how the layout of this blog should be, moving forward.

The old way of doing things doesn't work anymore. If someone could give some insight or input on how to

post like I did before. (long list of links, each named Concept Blog #X) I'd appreciate it alot.

I really don't like that all these changes were made to the layout, and then the person who wanted it changed is never on the site.

agreed^

the reply box is practically the size of a matchbox atm *even if you choose to do a full post, not just a quick reply*

all the changes should have really been done behind the scenes, waiting until everything was ready to be changed over, and then do the change all in one night

instead, we might see some remote changes once or twice a week, and then a week or two of silence -____-

spambots are still an issue, we've lost abilities within posting itself (as bukklee has mentioned)

everything still looks like a mess, if not worse than it was before...

not be rude or unappreciative (quite the contrary, I'm a very diehard GSC enthusiast, I owe this site ALOT) but i REALLY wish we had done these changes all in one swoop instead of bit by bit

the site although broken before, was still navigable & readable before everything started getting shuffled up

I only hope that the XMas/NewYears gift for this site is a finalized overhaul where we aren't stuck in limbo like this x(

not to mention,

the site being busted like this has slowed my stringing concepts waaaaay down too (i'm sure it's happening to others as well)

--------------------

Bukklee, if we have to, we can put all the concepts together on a playlist on the YT account you're running, and we can provide a link to the playlist as well as a link to the newest concept videos (as they come in) or at least that's my best idea i have at the moment lol

I was a bit of an ass in my earlier post, grumpy.

My frustration still remains tho

The playlist idea doesn't work, since the videos are unlisted.

BTW:: I've been working on this entrance into bushido using a setup off of the single-stick orbital thingy that I've done in the blog before. Once I get it cleaned up I'll post.

Okay so I filmed what I'm talking about real quick. It's still really sketchy right now, but I like it.

the first string is the hardest to do smoothly. It's getting there. I'm also missing something to do with the spinning stick before it's pinned???????

Oh NOW it wants to show the video player...
