i was talking wit a good friend of mine who is realy into music... he just got like 3 new digitaly inhensed cds of the Beattles. and i am a fan of the Beattles lets face it who isnt.... And something zero said to me poped into my head like a stupid cload in the corner " stick to different music "

now i know theres a thread that has the same thing but i want to encourage people to get a pair of sttick (or more )

pop in some of your favorite tunes like the Beattles, Jimmy Hendrix, Muse, Mega death, jazz, country, just nething that you wouldnt normaly hear at a Club and see wat you come up with..

dont just go thro the motions while the music is playing.... Try and hit beats tell a story with the stick (yattta yatta yattta )

Avenged Sevenfold

Children of Bodom

and so on and so forth ;P

I would make a video but I lack the camera to do so :sm_sigh:

Id listen to the whole "what to do when your dead" album by Armor for Sleep. Even though its kinda standard issue emo rock, that whole albums tells an amazing story.

If I were to stick to one specific song I'd go with This one.

i like to string/poi to slower music sometimes, like trip hop, ex:

video doesnt seem to be showing up :( but its Emancipator; with rainy eyes, definately worth hearing, it makes me feel good and lets me string and flow easily :)

There's so much music in the world, it's just best to expose yourself to as much as possible. Keep an open mind. Don't stick with one, and don't let one define you.

Eh, you also have to love music sharing topics. :)

Lets you see other freehanders taste.

Sorta like a small taste of their style.

Another Jason Mraz, but idk.

I'm Yours, and The Beauty In Ugly, both have really been inspirations to me.

Thanks for this thread TK - i've been a huge supporter of sticking to other music for years, and I was also able to demonstrate to TK why I stick so much to jungle and how its shaped my style...

Try some of these out and see what your sticking does

be careful if you stick to this jungle - wear a helmet ;p

Haha, for the most part it's rather slow, but I like stringing to reggae. Such bands as Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, 311, and The Expendables.
