California grilled cheese

This recipes is for two. enjoy


4 slices of sour dough or white bread

1 or 2 slices of monterey jack cheese( I like mine a little cheesier)

4 ounces of thinly sliced roasted turkey

1 medium tomato, thinly sliced

1/2 a medium avocado, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon of margarine or butter


On 2 slices of bread layer cheese, turkey, tomato, and avocado. Spread remaining 2 slices of bread with mustard and place on top of filling, mustard side down. to make 2 sandwiches.


In a 12 inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add sandwiches and cook. When under side is golden brown carefully turnover sandwiches once,Until golden brown on both sides.


Each serving: About 640 calories,39g protein, 44g carbs.
