Pictures of the Production: The Night before mailing
Importing Into Illustrator into the factory supplied templates. They require CMYK files and they don't accept photoshop files. Drat. I had to export my raster image into a TIFF file, import that into Illustrator, and then recreate the textual layout within Illustrator. They also require a copy of all fonts I used. Tedious. It's also a good thing I upgraded my computer to 2 gigs of ram. Note: Always defrag before doing a final rendering of your avi files that will become your master.

The factory wanted hard "proofs" for reference. Couldn't print it on a regular piece of paper so I shrunk it down to size.
They also wanted a mockup if I wanted to. I wanted to. Just to be sure.
At first i was using a razer blade and a ruler, using a sheet of paper in between so I don't smear my fingers. Then I got smart and realized that I had a small paper cutter 2 feet away. I carefully aligned the paper cutter and placed a sheet of paper on top of that (scrap paper) so the sliding mechanism wouldnt' smear.

Looks like it's getting there.
The final specs call for DVD-9 format (dual layer), a necessity since the whole thing is almost 4 hours.

All the paper work. I highly recommend discmakers.com for your needs. They are very professional.
