In a surprising turn of events the legendary massive electronic music event promoter Insomniac teamed with Full Access and brought the Electric Daisy Carnival back to Texas on June 19th of this year. Fans all over Texas rejoiced in the first truly epic event to hit the state in nearly a decade. Not only was the event a major success, it shocked people from all over Texas back into overdrive as they remembered what a real massive was all about. Insomniac and Full Access outdid themselves with this event, bringing back the good music, performers, visuals, vibes and uniting the Texas rave scene once again. Though it's only been a few days since the event, it's already gone down in Texas history as a legend of epic proportions.
In celebration of this fantastic event, Glowsticking.com members were on the scene spreading the love of the art of glowsticking, filming and photographing the event, and dancing the night away as the bass vibrated down to their very souls.
The location for the event could not have been chosen better, as Fair Park had all the accommodations an event of massive proportions needs to succeed. With three massive stages and a fourth for the locals there was a place for everyone to get their groove on. The fountain that runs the length of the park was illuminated and provided not only a beautiful place to chill, but an amazing backdrop for the lights and sounds of an electronic music festival like no other.
As the sun went down and the lights and projectors came on the entire park took on a surreal appearance that transported the festival goers into another world. A world of neon trees, rotating daisies, lasers, carnival rides and stages blasting exciting beats all across the grounds in true Insomniac style. As a bonus to all the eye candy the legendary Cube-a-tron was on the scene tantalizing peoples minds with its ever changing patterns of bright vibrant colors.
The entertainment didn't stop there however, as Insomniac and Full Access had multiple visual performers on scene to entertain the masses. The Team Easy clowns were to be seen wandering all over the park entertaining attendants with their crazy antics, as well as the EDC Cheerleaders, who were frolicking from one stage to another performing acrobatics, dancing, and carrying umbrellas with multi-colored lights attached to them. Other stage performers included clowns on stilts, a hula-hooper, and people dressed as large Chinese dragons.
In the end, though the last tune had been played and the performers had left the stages, the masses of people were left begging for more of what Insomniac and Full Access has to offer. Luckily it looks as though they'll get it. To the relief of many, in a recent update to their website Insomniac has declared that the Electric Daisy Carnival will again be returning to Texas in 2011. As word of how amazing EDC Texas was spreads, be it by word of mouth, photographs, videos or set downloads, the event is sure to be even more of a success next year.
